It's all about the Down Under™

The New Look of Fruit on the Bottom Yogurt

It's all about the Down Under™

For those of you who have come to love Down Under, we don't have to tell you what makes it stand out from ordinary fruit-on-the-bottom yogurts. It's the abundance of pure fruit and flavor, layered under our delectably creamy, Australian-style yogurt that keeps us all wanting more. You've probably also noticed with Down Under, mixing is optional. That's because our fruit "down under" isn't the syrupy jam or jelly that you typically find at the bottom of other yogurts. Down Under has real chunks of premium organic fruit with slightly sweetened yogurt on top, so it can be savored layer by layer or like a parfait... no stirring necessary!

Those of you who are longtime fans of Down Under may also be wondering, what happened to the clear cup? Some have noticed that we recently started packaging Down Under in the same cup that we use for our blended yogurts. Why the switch? Over time we found that our white cup does a better job of protecting the quality of flavor and freshness, something we felt the clear cup just wasn't doing 100% of the time. So we moved Down Under into our white cup and gave it a bright new look, which should make it easier to spot your favorite flavor on the shelf.

While the cup has changed, the delicious recipe that made us all fall in love with Down Under has not. You'll still find the same generous amount of fruit and flavor at the bottom of every cup. So grab your spoon and decide: Mix it all up? Delight in the creamy yogurt first, and save the fruit for last? Or dive straight to the bottom for a wallop of flavor? However you choose to enjoy it is all part of the Down Under experience!

Hello, I have noticed the new cups for the Down Under, what I have not seen lately is the pink graperuit/Down Under cup :( Have you stopped making this flavor, I have been looking for awhile and can't seem to find it anywhere anymore. This was my favorite flavor, sad to have not had it in a bit.

    Thanks for your time!

      Hi Kristina,
Thanks for taking the time to check out our blog, and for surfacing a topic that’s been on some of our other customers’ minds: what happened to the Pink Grapefruit Down Under?

It was a hard decision for us, but unfortunately we have stopped making this flavor. While it was a favorite among many of us here at Wallaby, it just wasn’t popular enough to stay on the shelf. Many stores had discontinued it and replaced it with other types of yogurt. And in the small number of stores that were still carrying the Pink Grapefruit, we were finding it a struggle to keep it in fresh supply.

We’re glad you enjoyed this flavor while it was available and hope that you can find a new Wallaby favorite. To see all the wonderful flavors that we make, please visit www.wallabyyogurt.com/products.

I'm sad you have discontinued Pink Grapefruit Down Under! It was so unique and also my favorite flavor.

Wallaby Down Under is the only yogurt that I like but I can't find it any longer. My local Whole Foods doesn't carry it now. Where do you sell it?

Thanks for the praise, Amanda! The demand for our new Organic Greek yogurt took stores by surprise. There was a time when the store's orders weren't nearly large enough to cover the demand, but they have since made adjustments. We hope that you'll see a better stock on the shelves in the near future. If you don't, be sure to speak to the Dairy Manager to express your concerns and they should pay closer attention to those items.

Hi Maureen - sorry you’re not able to find our Down Under yogurts. Unfortunately, there are some Whole Foods stores that have decided to stop carrying this line, in order to make room for new yogurts. Please send our consumer care team an email at info@wallabyyogurt.com, letting them know which Whole Foods store(s) you shop at, and we’ll do what we can to help you find Down Under!
